My Biography
David Evans is the Division President of New Business Development, Interactive and Publishing of Salem Communications, the largest Christian radio broadcasting company in the world and the thirteenth largest radio broadcaster in the U.S. Salem is publicly traded on the NASDAQ stock market. I have worked at the company for a total of seven years.
Evans began my career at the accounting firm of Ernst & Young in London after graduating from the University of Aston in Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Managerial and Administrative Studies. He transferred to Ernst & Young's Century City office in Los Angeles after successfully becoming a Chartered Accountant and worked at EY for a total of six years. In 1990, Evans joined Warner Bros. in London as Regional Financial Controller - Europe, Middle East and Africa. After 2 years back in London, he returned to Los Angeles as Vice President, Finance and Operations for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. He was promoted to Senior Vice President - Latin America, International Marketing and New business Development in 1995 and Senior Vice President - Europe, Middle East and Africa in 1997.
David Evans joined Salem Communications in 2000 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to his current position in July 2007.
While he loves his work, it is not the most important thing in his life. That position belongs to David's family. He has been married to his wife, Pamela Evans (Formerly Simon), for fifteen years. They have two daughters, Samantha and Amanda, and a son, Daniel. They live in Calabasas, California, just outside of Los Angeles.
In his free time, David enjoys fantasy baseball, a variety of sports and doing stuff with the family.
