Universal Health Care
If it works like the United Kingdom, this will be a big problem. Lets look forward to long waiting lists for health care services. And hospital services that work like a government bureaucracy - slow, slow, slow: and not very good. And another layer of administrative spending. In my mind, the big problem that has to be solved is that 20% of this country do not have medical insurance. As a result, the remaining 80% pay so that the 20% get a free ride. Yes - the 20% are most likely the least able to be able to afford health insurance. But it is still unfair and wrong that they choose not to pay. So how can we give them low cost health insurance and ensure that they buy it? |
